Nancy began her health care career as a Registered Nurse graduating from Villanova University with a BS in Nursing in the 80’s. After working as a staff nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a few years, she decided to continue her education and graduated with a MBA Degree in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University, and then worked in hospital administration.

She has always believed that true health encompasses not only the physical body, but the emotional/mental and spiritual aspects of an individual as well. After seeing her patients’ health improve incorporating complimentary health modalities in addition to traditional western therapies, she embarked on a quest to better understand the advantages of using both philosophies for patient care. This resulted in her continuing her education and receiving a PhD in Holistic Nutrition in 2008. She then opened her holistic wellness practice in 2009, Nancy Schappert Healthy LIving LLC, offering several holistic and energy therapies to her clients of all ages and states of health.

Utilizing from her extensive list of specialties and varied experiences, Nancy empowers her clients to co-create an individualized plan to achieve optimal wellness that fits into his/her schedule and activity level. This may be simply a holistic energy treatment to help alleviate stress and chronic pain, to creating a comprehensive plan to assist a client dealing with a serious illness such as cancer.

Working with Nancy results in a pro-active approach to wellness that combines traditional western medicine with the added benefits of holistic therapies. This increases the effectiveness of care, increasing the ability of the client to reach his/her own wellness goals. Her practice offers a wide variety of specialties allowing the client to customize his/her own plan for his/her individual needs, combining the best of what holistic healing can offer. Maintaining balance is paramount in today’s ever changing world and she believes that everyone should have the opportunity to live life to its fullest.

Nancy has expanded her practice in West Chester and her lovely holistic wellness center includes a treatment/consultation room and classroom where she can better share her knowledge and expertise with her clients, empowering them to improve their quality of life and health. The gift shop offers many holistic items for sale including over 200 gemstones and 55 essential oils along with sections for Angel readings and Native American healing, and handmade custom gemstone jewelry.

Treatment sessions and consultations are $110 and last 75-90 minutes.
Distance sessions are $100. For a Reiki or Healing Touch treatment, this consists of an introductory phone call to gather information about your concern and intention for the session, then the session will be performed remotely at an agreed upon time, followed up by feedback either by phone or text, your preference. A nutrition or essential oil consult can also be done via phone if the client is unable to come to the center for the appointment. The custom blend essential oil product can either be picked up or can be shipped. (Shipping charge will apply) Many clients enjoy the ease and convenience of phone or distant sessions and feel that they are just as effective as coming to the center in person.
There are packages available and can be any combination of services she offers. The package must be used within one year of purchase and are:
